Artistic Director - Rosemary Myers
Rosemary is the Artistic Director of Windmill Performing Arts, a South
Australian Company that creates and presents work for family audiences
nationally and internationally. Prior to this she was the Artistic Director
of Arena Theatre Company. Under her direction the Company won the International
Association of Theatre for Young People Award for "inspiring and
provocative ways of expressing a new theatrical language which genuinely
engages young people in these contemporary times". Her projects
with Arena include Criminolgy SKID 180, Game Girl, Play
Dirty, Outlookers, Eat Your Young, Panacea,
Schnorky the Wave Puncher, Oblong and Autopsy.
Prior to working at Arena, Rosemary was the Artistic Director of the
Union Theatre at Melbourne University. Her independent work includes:
ABC Television, Back to Back Theatre Company, Victorian College of the
Arts, Queensland Theatre Company and Sydney Theatre Company and she
was a Creative Director for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Opening
Ceremony.
General Manager/Executive Producer - Teena Munn
Teena's extensive history in the arts includes such positions as Associate Producer at the Adelaide Festival Centre, Program Manager of the Olympic Arts Festivals, Executive Producer for Arts Projects Australia and of WOMADelaide in 2001 and 2003, and State Manager for Musica Viva SA. She also has been involved at a senior level in the touring of major musicals such as The King and I, Me & My Girl, South Pacific and Chicago, has lectured at NIDA and Flinders University, and was the Chair of Cirkidz.
Program and Production Manager - Jason Warner
Arts Project Manager - Julie Orchard
Julie has worked widely in arts education for over 20 years, predominantly in drama education, teaching all ages including tutoring in the tertiary sector. Her experiences include setting up a drama curriculum for a preparatory school in Nairobi Kenya, arts curriculum development for DECS, managing the '97 and '99 Schools program for the Come Out Youth Arts Festival and in 2000-01 was the Events Manager for the South Australian Centenary of Federation. Julie is a currently Chair of Urban Myth Theatre of Youth Board and Executive Member of Drama Australia. The Arts Project Manager position is a seconded appointment of the Department of Education and Children's Services.
Finance Manager - Sue Tauss
After holding various Finance and Office Manager positions in the private, corporate and federal government sectors, Sue's introduction into the arts sector commenced when a 3-month temp assignment expanded into a 3-year association with Tandanya, the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute. From there Sue has continued to work in the arts holding Finance Manager positions with the Meryl Tankard Australian Dance Theatre, Come Out Children's Festival, on tour with Michael Edgley's Moscow Circus for 7 months in Hong Kong and Singapore, and then back to the Australian Dance Theatre with Garry Stewart as Artistic Director. Sue is currently studying at Uni SA completing her Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Commerce degrees.
Admin & Education Coordinator - Catherine Evans
Before Catherine began working at Windmill Performing Arts she completed an Arts Administration Traineeship at the Carclew Youth Arts Centre Schools' Office and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Adelaide University. Away from her desk she can be found performing dance.
