Professional Learning for Educators

Teacher Notes

Detailed teachers' notes linked to SACSA, the South Australian Curriculum, Standards and Accountability Framework, are produced for each Windmill production. The notes include information relating to the creative team, pre-performance and post-performance ideas, curriculum tasks and other learning areas.

Teacher Workshops

A program of teacher workshops is developed for each Windmill production. The workshops are aligned to themes and ideas from the productions and feature directors, performers and creators of Windmill performances.

Children & Family Workshops

For selected productions, Windmill works with early childhood students to provide free arts-based workshops. These workshops provide a hands-on experience for children and their accompanying parents, grandparents, siblings and friends.

The workshops relate directly to the themes and ideas of the production exploring dance, music, visual art and dramatic play, and are structured to provide a fun shared experience for all ages.

Cultural Based Artts Workshops

Windmill works with selected communities to create activities that highlight and explore other cultures.
