ACCESS FOR EVERYONE

We're keen to ensure everyone has the opportunity to see our shows and so our community policy offers 15% of tickets to all Adelaide productions free-of-charge to communities and schools deemed disadvantaged - socio-economically and geographically.

By removing financial and/or geographic restrictions, this program provides access for disadvantaged members of the South Australian community to take part in a creative and cultural experience and visit the city of Adelaide. For some, it may be their first experience of visiting the city and seeing live theatre.

Windmill is only able to continue this program through the generosity of donations, grants and aligned sponsorships.

Who Benefits?

Disadvantaged Schools
In accordance with the Department of Education and Child Services' Index of Disadvantage, schools ranked 1-4 are selected to receive complimentary tickets to shows. Our dedicated Arts Project Manager, Julie Orchard, manages all correspondence with schools. We approach both metropolitan and regional disadvantaged schools, and offer the equivalent of 1-2 classes, depending on the venue capacity.

Community Groups
We also work with various community centres, support groups and charities that are aligned with families. This extends to groups based regionally as well as within the metropolitan area. To date, we've worked with more than 65 community groups.
